EFL 50 years

Screen Shot 2012-12-07 at 2.05.09 PMAs part of the EFL’s 50th year celebrations, clubs have been invited to nominate individuals who have played a significant part in the development of their clubs. “Service to the Game” awards are being presented throughout the year. All nominations are welcome for the consideration of the EFL 50th Year Steering Committee.

Last weekend, at the clubs annual President’s Luncheon a life member Allan Cousins of Chirnside Park Football Club was recognized.  Allan Cousins is described as a friend to all at the club. He currently serves on the committee of the senior club and is the head trainer, his efforts as a club trainerearning him life membership of the EFL Trainers’ Association in 2010.

A foundation member of the club, Alan was last weekend rewarded for his services to the game and Chirnside Park Football Club as “a person who only promotes positivity, served on every committee, steered the club forward in times of overwhelming objection and has never lost sight of desire to see Chirnside Park succeed”.  The EFL congratulates the latest group of recipients and sincerely thanks them for their services to the game.
