Tracy Cornish Junior President Letter

Letter from the President

Welcome to season 2014!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank our families and supporters from previous years and welcome all new families and supporters to the club.

My name is Tracy Cornish and I am the incoming president for 2014. I have been involved with Chirnside Park Football Club for 6 years now. I have also been an active member of the general committee for the past 3 years. I am very much looking forward to my presidency, working closely with the committee, coaches and parents to make our club the best it can be.

In 2014 we are fielding 10 teams as well as our Auskick program. So we have around about 350 participants every weekend representing our great club.

Club social nights are a great way to catch up with and meet parents and players from other teams. Each year we run four club social nights where coaches hand out player awards from the previous rounds and everyone catches up for dinner and a chat. Please look out for the ‘Back to the Rooms’ dates in the Prowler Newsletters, on our website and Facebook page. Please make sure you can come along to support the kids.

We encourage you to like our Facebook page. The page is updated regularly with news from around the club or any special events that are happening, so it’s a great way to keep up with any info. You can also send a message to us via this page. Match reports are also included in the Prowler Newsletter and on our Website.

I’d like to take a moment and mention our sponsors, some of them have been with us for several years now and others are new to CPJFC. Old and new, we value our relationships with our sponsors and encourage you to support these businesses whenever possible. These companies help us to provide the wonderful training programs and equipment needed and we thank them for their valued contributions. It is really important that we get behind our sponsors and mention where you’re from so they get feedback that we are supporting them, supporting us.

Auskick and Junior Football is such a wonderful environment for kids to develop their skills and a love of our game and I definitely encourage any of our players who find themselves with some free time on a Saturday mornings to ask Mum or Dad to drop you down at the Kimberley Reserve to get involved with our Auskick kids. John Maguire is our Auskick co-ordinator and he’s very eager to have the older kids involved, so the younger kids can have something to aspire to.

Grandparents, Uncles, Aunties and visiting friends are welcomed and encouraged to come along and watch the kids play and attend any of our social events.

I would like to remind everyone that we are here for the kids to enjoy their training and games. POSITIVE words have more of an impact with our kids.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me on 0434 906 675 if you have any questions or concerns. I am always available for a chat.

Kind regards

Tracy Cornish
