Seeking Development Coach

The Chirnside Park Football Club is seeking applicants for the position of Senior Women's Development Coach for season 2018.  

After 6 years in the VWFL, the Senior Women’s Division expanded in 2017 with the addition of a development side they competed in the newly formed EFL women’s league and finished a creditable 5th in their first season .Based in the outer Eastern suburbs, the club is entering an exciting period for women’s football and is seeking a new Development Coach for season 2018 to support the Head Coach with an emphasis on the following traits:

• Bring new ideas to but also respect the strong female football program already in
  place
• Ability to attract and retain players from the local and wider local area
• Foster basic skill development and continue to develop further growth
• Work in partnership with the Senior Coach, Football Manager and Committee
• Continue to uphold the club’s reputation as an enjoyable place for women to socialise and exercise through participation in women’s football


Coaches are required to be available for the below sessions:

- Pre-Season Training, Tuesdays at Oxley College Sports Oval from November 21, 2017
- Season Tuesday, Thursday Training at Kimberley Reserve from late March 2018
- Saturday & Sunday home and away matches from April 2018

Selection Criteria

Essential:

1. A current Football Coaching Accreditation or willingness to obtain one (at the Club’s expense)
2. A current working with children check
3. Demonstrated high level interpersonal and communication skills
4. Be motivated, enthusiastic, reliable and enjoy working as part of a team
5. Ability to make decisions that are aimed at the overall success of the club

Desirable:
6. Knowledge of women in sport and challenges/successes that are involved in this environment

The appointed Coach will need to work closely with players, other coaches, football operations and the committee in supporting the ongoing success and sustainability of women’s football at Chirnside Park Football Club, especially during this exciting time of growth and development.
