EFL Looking at restructure for 2018

EFL LOGOTHE Eastern Football League is continuing discussions with clubs about reducing Division 1 to a 10-team competition in 2018.

The league received informal feedback from clubs during the finals series about scaling back Division 1 from a 12-team competition and creating a Premier division.

Any restructure would likely see a new Premier competition and Division 1 compiled of 10 teams, while divisions two, three and four would be made up of eight sides.

The league is working on presenting a formal submission to clubs in the new year about a restructure.

Clubs would be notified of any changes to the league prior to the 2017 season, with the league also working through how promotion and relegation would be co-ordinated at the end of next year.
