Kimberley Reserve Master Plan

Kimberley Reserve Master Plan - proposed variation

Submissions close at 05:00PM on Friday, 10 June 2016

The Kimberley Recreation Reserve Master Plan was adopted by Council in 2015 after extensive community consultation.
Kimberley Reserve offers a significant place for the community to play football and cricket and is highly valued by those who use it to socialise, play and exercise.
Council has been working with the CPFC to plan future requirements for the pavilion. As part of the planning process the club has proposed a merge with the Mount Lilydale Old Collegian Soccer Club (MLOCSC) which will be renamed the Chirnside Park Soccer Club, based at the Kimberley Reserve Pavilion and the building of a new synthetic soccer pitch at the reserve.
CPFC and MLOCSC believe the amalgamation will benefit both clubs by increasing their capacity to provide for female and junior participants and provide a valuable community asset to local residents. Their proposal has the dog off lead park relocated within the reserve.
This proposal had not been considered in the master plan. There would be significant cost in these actions that had not been planned for and would mean the relocation of the proposed dog off lead park. The clubs are proactively applying for funding for the proposal.
At a recent Council meeting Councillors voted for you to have your say in regard to the proposed variation - Item 7.7 (page 21) of Council meeting minutes 26 April 2016.
